Despite starring Primetime Emmy-winning Orphan Black actress Tatiana Maslany in the title role, major guest appearances from Charlie Cox’s Daredevil and Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk and a clever premise, 2022’s She-Hulk: Attorney at Law proved divisive among Marvel Cinematic Universe fans.
Part of that divide came from how boldly the series departed from the usual MCU formula. Rather than centering on a clearly defined villain or building toward massive action set pieces from the outset, She-Hulk embraced a more comedic, self-aware, and episodic approach. For some viewers, that made it feel fresh. For others, it felt too far removed from the superhero storytelling they had come to expect from Marvel.

Still, one key Marvel executive remains firmly in the show’s corner.
Marvel Television head Brad Winderbaum recently praised She-Hulk as one of the MCU’s strongest performers and made it clear he would welcome the chance to continue the series.
“I love She-Hulk. I’d love to make more She-Hulk,” Winderbaum said during an appearance on The Escape Pod after hosts Andrew Parker and Alex Azor shared their own enthusiasm for the show. “I mean, I’ll tell you this about She-Hulk. That’s one of our best-performing shows. It just hit the general audience.”
As of this writing, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law has not been renewed for a second season. While Marvel TV head Winderbaum didn’t rule out hope, saying, “I would love the opportunity to make more She-Hulk, honestly. Hopefully one day. Maybe,” star Tatiana Maslany has struck a more cautious tone. Speaking on a Twitch stream, Maslany remarked, “I don’t think so… I think we blew our budget, and Disney was like, ‘No, thanks,’” suggesting that a follow-up season isn’t in the works for the foreseeable future. There’s always the possibility that Tatiana Maslany could reprise her role as She-Hulk in a future MCU film, such as Avengers: Secret Wars, which is expected to unite a wide array of Marvel characters for a massive, universe-spanning event.

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law follows Jennifer Walters, a talented attorney whose life is turned upside down after an accident leaves her with powers similar to those of her cousin, Bruce Banner. Instead of fully embracing the role of a conventional superhero, Jennifer continues practicing law, navigating a world of superhuman cases, awkward dating experiences, workplace chaos, and unexpected enemies, all with the show’s signature comedic tone and fourth-wall-breaking style. As stated previously, Winderbaum noted that the series was among the MCU’s top performers, a claim supported by its strong streaming presence during its 2022 run, including repeated appearances on Nielsen’s streaming charts with hundreds of millions of minutes viewed. That success, however, stands in contrast to its more divided reception on Rotten Tomatoes, where the series earned a solid 77% critics score but a much lower audience score — 32% among fans.
